Treasurer

Overview

The Treasurer is a public officer that is appointed by the Select Board, whose duties under Maine Law extend to perform:

• Sound Financial Management;
• Receipt, Safe-Keeping and Proper Disbursement of Public Money;
• Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Collections;
• Payroll for all Town Departments;
• Collection of Receivables;
• Payment of Bills;
• Annual Budget Preparation;
• Overseeing Department Budgets;
• Tax Liens;
• Timely Financial Reporting.
