ANNUAL TOWN MEETING. The MINUTES for the March 11, 2017 TOWN MEETING are here. All Articles passed as written with the exception of Article 11, which was amended from a maximum of $75k to $60k for Maine Municipal Employee Health Trust. Article 29, was amended to use money from TIF. Article 89 was defeated.

The Bridge on the Bog Road is limited to 3 tons until further notice.
TRANSFER STATION. The Clinton/Benton Transfer Station is 6.3 miles north of the Benton Town Office on the Bangor Rd-Rte 11 through the Town of Clinton towards Burnham on the right side of the road. Open Wed-Thur-Fri-Sat, 7 AM to 5 PM. RECYCLE.

FOOD PANTRY. Benton uses the Fairfield Interfaith Food Pantry located at 23 Lawrence Ave., Fairfield (behind the Fairfield Town Office).
Hours are 9 AM to Noon the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month. Point of contact is Nancy Marcoux at 509-9972.
CLOTHING. The Lamb's Clothes Closet provides clothing, one bag per visit per person. Adult, child and baby clothes are available every Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. For more info, click here.

Eating With The Alewives Dinner: May 19, 2017. 5:30-7:00 P.M. $15.00 per person. Benton Elementary School, 68 School Drive, Benton. Dinner includes: 1 lobster, Alewife Chowder, Corn on the Cob, Baked Potato, Dessert and Beverages. Tickets can be purchased at the Benton Town Office.
